What is HelloHajur?

How difficult is it to find a service provider? Only the ones who have tried to look for one know it to be such a hassle. It is no great experience to find a service provider nearby your desired location but, not anymore. For every problem there is a solution likewise, HelloHajur is the solution to a problem of finding a local service provider.

HelloHajur is a platform where people can get connected to a service provider they want nearby their desired location. It is an initiative to help people find someone who can actually fix their household problems. HelloHajur basically contains information of limited category of service providers inside the Kathmandu valley. However, there is always room for improvement. HelloHajur, at the moment, only focuses on service providers, namely:

• MOVERS - सामन ओसर्ने (ताता मोबाईल )

Apart for making it easy for the people to find service providers, HelloHajur will be a helpful channel for service providers to acquire higher employment opportunities. We see a crowd of construction workers and porters early morning in the streets eagerly waiting for people to offer them a day’s job. Hopefully, HelloHajur can be the solution to eradicate such insecurities in themselves.

The Story behind HelloHajur!!

The story isn’t extra-ordinary actually. One evening, three young individuals were catching up after long office hours at a local coffee shop. It was just a normal gathering and they were having a good time, laughing and sharing stories. One of them had a very funny incident to tell. It was about how he spent four hours in a toilet room because of the jammed door. He couldn’t break the door but all he could do was wait for his brother to get a carpenter to fix it. He said only if he could find a carpenter easily, he didn’t have to spend those hours in that toilet.

Another guy was sharing his story, how he ended up an hour and half late to the office. His kitchen tap broke and water didn’t stop running. He shared his sorrow of not being able to find a plumber nearby for which he had to work himself into it.

All three had many stories to share and were realizing how important it was to have a service provider handy in case of emergencies. They went on discussing how most of the people must be facing such problem. Then they kicked off an idea of creating a platform where we could look for service providers nearby and that’s how the idea of HELLOHAJUR initiated.

The Name HelloHajur!!

“HELLO”, the first thing people say when they contact someone on the phone. In context to Nepal, “HAJUR”, the polite way of answering anyone. Together, it is HELLOHAJUR. The name was put together anticipating a normal conversation between two users of this platform.

The Receiver: HAJUR, ko bolnu bhayo?
